Royal Borough of Greenwich - Children and Young People's Homecare Services - Provider Engagement Event

Date event 11th August: 1 - 2.30pm. The Royal Borough of Greenwich is pleased to invite providers to attend a dedicated engagement event focused on the delivery of specialist Community and Homecare services for children and young people within the borough. Please note that the engagement event will take place via MS Teams As part of the Council's wider review and recommissioning of Community and Homecare services, we are seeking to engage with current and prospective providers to better understand the market, explore innovative approaches to service delivery, and inform the future development of commissioned services for children and young people with care and support needs. This engagement event will provide an opportunity to discuss the unique requirements associated with delivering Homecare services to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with complex health needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments and other additional support needs. The Council recognises that supporting children and young people to remain safe, healthy and independent within their family and community networks requires a specialist and highly skilled workforce, alongside strong partnership working with families and professionals. The event is open to all providers with an interest in delivering services to children and young people. We are particularly keen to engage with organisations that have experience of supporting children with complex needs, specialist care providers, voluntary and community sector organisations, charities, community interest companies (CICs), and providers who are interested in developing or expanding services within this area. The session will provide an opportunity to discuss: The current and future needs of children and young people requiring Community and Homecare support within the borough. The delivery of specialist care and support services in family homes and community settings. Supporting children and young people to achieve positive outcomes, independence and improved quality of life. Partnership working with families, schools, health services, social care and other key stakeholders. Workforce requirements, specialist skills and training considerations. Opportunities for innovation and flexible models of support. Potential commissioning intentions and future procurement opportunities. Challenges currently experienced by providers and opportunities for service improvement. The Council is committed to ensuring that children and young people receive high-quality, person-centred care that is responsive to their individual needs and aspirations. We recognise the vital role that providers play in supporting children and families and are keen to hear directly from the market about what works well, where challenges exist and how future services can be designed to achieve the best possible outcomes. This event will be interactive in nature and will provide attendees with the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and contribute to discussions that will help shape the future direction of specialist Homecare services for children and young people in Greenwich. All discussions and proposals remain at an early stage and are intended to inform the Council's thinking as part of its wider recommissioning programme. Feedback gathered during this engagement activity will help ensure that any future service model reflects the needs of children, young people and families, whilst supporting a sustainable and high-quality provider market.
