What is being bought
The Council is looking for a rehoming partner that will be able to pickup stray dogs from its designated kennel/s after the 7 day statutory period and suitably rehome them. The kennel provider that the council uses is likely to be within 6miles of the Local Authority Area. Any dogs retrieved after 7 day period, are to become the responsibility of the rehoming partner. The Council would like to engage with the rehoming partner in delivering community projects linked to the contract. The rehoming partner shall be required to submit quarterly figures and other information to the Council in relation to stray dog outcomes. The service shall be provided at no cost to the Council, although there maybe additional costs linked to the contract that will be agreed between all partners. (e.g. Vet fees etc.)
