Lot 1

The BBC is tendering for a radio studio set designer to help visualise six radio studios across the UK. Locations include Edinburgh, Newcastle, Southampton, Blackburn, Leeds and Stoke-on-Trent. Music stations such as Radio 1 and Radio 2 now regularly capture visualised content from their programmes to share on social media and iPlayer to extend reach beyond linear and Sounds. Visualisation allows audio content to be recorded or seen live by the public. It offers audiences a further way to engage with audio content, historically unseen and simply heard on the radio. The overall project brings together technology, marketing and editorial to deliver an agreed design template. Locations have been chosen against a number of criteria, including audience size, sport reach, origination of shared programming and potential for audience growth. Additional information: * * All questions relating to this tender should be submitted via the BBC's eSourcing portal at https://bbc.bravosolution.co.uk * *

Comparable-procurement analytics

Benchmarked against retained Find a Tender procedures with CPV division 92. The category anchor is Radio studio or equipment services (92214000); this is a deliberately broad market comparator. The comparison is shown at several levels rather than pretending one company or region is always the best benchmark.

“Reported bids” is an official aggregate, sometimes reported per lot; it is the closest available competition measure. “Named award suppliers” are winners, not all applicants.

Price-outcome signal

Not enough comparable procedures currently publish both a GBP tender value and a usable lowest-valid-bid value to calculate a responsible price-reduction benchmark. Tenderline deliberately does not infer a saving from named award suppliers or from missing award values.
