Published requirement descriptionThe Resettlement Support Provision will help support people to settle / remain settled in their accommodation and general improved wellbeing. The focus areas are to ensure people are registered with a local GP surgery and other health services, ensure that children are registered with education, support people with steps to gain employment or education, support with financial sustainability - benefits/income and budgeting, support non-English speaking adults to enrol for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages); community orientation is important which includes the local transportation systems, shopping and leisure facilities. The Provider will be required to network and have knowledge of available support for often vulnerable and complex people's needs as well as will make referrals to community-based support services available

provides full-time support workers who are trained to support refugees. Extreme and unavoidable urgency - Increased internal resourcing challenges have contributed to the Direct Award decision, as well as ensuring the Council continues to meet its obligations under the Government resettlement schemes and associated grant conditions. Without a commissioned provision in place, to enable individuals and families to integrate successfully, could lead to increased risk of poor outcomes, including tenancy failure, unemployment, and reduced wellbeing. In addition, for those vulnerable individuals and families already engaged in the programme could lead to increased risks of homelessness, social isolation, and safeguarding concerns.
