What is being bought
Medway Council is committed to ensuring Medway is Child Friendly. That is to say a place where young people's voices are recognised, and they feel safe, valued, included, learn new skills and make the most of their talents. The Council are committed to providing the best start in life for children and young people, helping them to aim high and reach their goals, hopes and dreams for their future and reduce inequalities. The Council is seeking to commission a Health Visiting and School Nursing Service to deliver the requirements of the Healthy Child Programme and make a vital contribution to Medway’s Family Hubs and Start for Life offer. The contract duration will be five years, commencing on 1st January 2024 with the option to extend by one additional year plus one further year. The service will help to improve outcomes for children and their families and assist The Council in achieving key strategic outcomes including Healthy and Active Communities and Resilient Families.
