Coverage: 5 active published awards; 5 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Southend-on-Sea City Council (the “Council”) currently has a fuel card service contract in place to purchase approximately 55,000 litres of ULSD diesel per annum for its current fleet of 82 vehicles. The current fuel card solution provider processes approximately 1,084 transactions per annum.
The Council is looking to continue with a fuel card solution to allow its fleet to purchase fuel at a variety of retail fuel outlets across Southend-on-Sea. The more retail outlets that the fuel card service covers, then the less distance needs to be driven to get to a fuel outlet. The corresponding reduction of fuelling journeys will reduce wear and the impact on the environment thus lowering the overall carbon footprint.
