    • Change The contract is being modified to extend the term of the existing Main Route (RH1) bus services from 21 September 2026 to 11 June 2027. An earlier modification was implemented on 26 November 2025 to introduce an additional bus service (between the University and Huntersdale Campus (RH2)) for the period of one year. — Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire: The modification is necessary to maintain continuity of the University's bus service following the abandonment of the University's procurement for a replacement bus service (Procurement identifier (OCID): ocds-h6vhtk-068265) after a procedural discrepancy was identified in respect of the notice issued to commence that procurement. The extension is limited to the 2026/27 academic year and to the period considered necessary to complete and mobilise the replacement procurement. RHUL expects to undertake a replacement procurement and to publish further notices in due course. The University considers that the modification is permissible under Regulation 72(1)(e) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015) because it does not alter the overall nature of the contract and is limited to a temporary continuity measure pending completion of a replacement procurement. The University does not consider the modification to constitute a substantial modification within the meaning of Regulation 72(8) PCR 2015. This notice is published voluntarily and is not required by Regulation 72(1)(e) PCR 2015.
