Coverage: 54 active published awards; 8 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Swindon Borough Council invites you to contribute to preliminary market engagement in relation to the installation of upgraded fire alarms to 14 of Swindon Borough Councils’ supported and sheltered schemes and would therefore welcome the views of suppliers on the questions set out in the questionnaire. Responses to this questionnaire will be used solely for this pre-tender exercise and any responses will not be referred to during the tender evaluation. To this end, tender-style responses to this questionnaire are not necessary - the intention is to invite supplier feedback on the options, to help shape the final specification and commercial model to ensure the tender delivers the optimum outcomes for the Council. The Council intends on tendering a package of works in relation to 14 supported and sheltered schemes. Specifically, in relation to the design and installation of an upgraded fire alarm system, the works in question will include a hard-wired, self-testing, analogue addressable and automatic fire detection and alarm system in accordance with BS5839, with category L1 detection to the common areas and back of house. With LD1 Grade A to all residential units. These works are intended to be applied to 14 No. schemes across Swindon. The concept designs in relation to the layout and schematic of these schemes have been completed, however contractors would be responsible for technical design (RIBA stage 4) through to commissioning and usage (RIBA stage 7). The purpose of this preliminary market engagement is to gain market insight into the following aspects of the project: - ? Market Interest ? Contract/Project Length. ? Capacity ? Timescales. ? Design ?
