Published requirement descriptionThis prior information notice is being published to indicate Thanet District Council’s intention to commence market engagement with organisations within the ports and harbours market.
The Council is intending to undertake a procurement process to attract and secure a port operator for two primary roll on/roll off (ro-ro) berths at the Port of Ramsgate and associated port side land by way of a services concession.
The Council is seeking to engage with the market to help inform its procurement exercise. A prospectus providing details of the opportunity has been published on the Kent Business Portal which can be accessed at www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk ↗. Interested parties are invited to review the prospectus and to complete and submit responses to a market questionnaire by 7 July 2023.

Thanet District Council is the statutory harbour authority for the Port of Ramsgate. It is intending to undertake a procurement process for the award of a concession contract for the provision of services relating to the operation, equipping, promotion, management and maintenance of two primary roll on/roll off berths at the Port of Ramsgate. The arrangements will be structured as a services concession and the procurement will be conducted in accordance with the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016 (as amended).

Additional information: 1) This PIN is not a call for competition and is published with the intention of facilitating engagement with the market prior to the commencement of a procurement process.
