What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionThe BBC is seeking a Supplier to provide an Online Information Services. The Supplier shall provide an existing – “off-the shelf” web-based application with access to current content and an extensive archive. The service must include access to a wide range of searchable full text content including major United Kingdom national and regional newspapers, international newspapers, magazines, specialist titles and other sources.
The service will form part of an essential research resource available to the BBC’s workforce and extended workforce both within and outside the United Kingdom, and possibly to BBC Group.
The spend range over the 4 year term (3 years plus 1) is between £1,100,000 - £1,450,000 million (excluding VAT). The spend ranges are not committed spend ranges, and are therefore "only an
estimation" of spend that could be made through the Agreement.
- How the procedure runs: The procedure will consist of the Initial Tender stage. Tenders will be evaluated and scored. Then top 3 suppliers will be invited to the Final Stage - Commercial Dialogue Session(s). Following the session(s) all 3 tenderers' will need to submit their Best and Final Offer to the BBC.
