The consultant will: iv. Determine material properties of superficial sediments by method of collecting samples from vibrocores v. Assess chemical contamination of sediments by collection and testing of samples Full details of the precise requirements are detailed within the relevant sections of the Invitation To Tender pack. The investigation is linked to the following site development project objectives for the Yorkshire Cruise Terminal, Hull: 1) Installation of a cruise ship berth and terminal at Sammy’s Point, Hull 2) The berth will be floating and constructed from up to three concrete pontoons connected by interleaf hinges that allow freedom of movement along both the longitudinal and transverse axis but constrain vertical movement between adjacent pontoons 3) Projected lifespan of the pontoon and restraint/ mooring piles is 50 years The Consultant is required to make an immediate start on this project following appointment, which is anticipated to be during June 2022. The specified works are anticipated to take a duration of around three (3) months to complete.
