Coverage: 51 active published awards; 8 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Interpretive fit out to areas formed as part of a preceding base build contract in the gatehouse and northwest tower and also external signage and interpretive installations in the castle grounds. Location: Newark Castle, Castle Gate, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 1BG Newark Castle is located adjacent to the River Trent in the Town of Newark. There is evidence of an earth and timber castle on this site since the reign of William the Conqueror, and under Bishop Alexander in the 12th Century the castle was rebuilt in stone. The Castle was remodelled several times over the following centuries but was destroyed after the English Civil Wars. The Castle and surrounding landscape had various uses after the Civil Wars including a bowling green, coal wharf, and cattle market. It was the first ruin of Britain to be restored at public expense in 1845-48. In 1889 the landscape surrounding the Castle was opened as Jubilee gardens, and much of this landscape remains in place today. The Castle ruins, comprised of both the northern Gatehouse and the west curtain wall, sit within Newark Castle Gardens with the B6326 Great North Road / Beast Market Hill to the north and the B6166 Castle Gate to the east. On the southern edge of the site a footpath is situated which leads from the Castle Gate to the River Trent marking the western site boundary. The Castle and Gardens are currently undergoing a series of alterations and adaptions to provide the areas where the Interpretive elements will be installed on site.
