The scheme was responsive to the emergent situation and evolved several times to provide additional roles as needed. Over 400,000 volunteers have been active throughout the life of the programme.<br/><br/>NHS England now wishes to retain this cohort to build on the volunteering legacy of Covid-19 ensuring that they, and new volunteers, are available to provide support in a range of ways that reduce pressure on differing parts of the NHS<br/><br/>To get this right the intention is to undergo a period of review, co-production and co-design of a new programme delivery model.<br/><br/>Expressions of interest are sought from all sectors, including VCSE organisations, to help determine the procurement strategy for this projectContract periodNot publishedEligibilityNot publishedOptions / renewalNot published
