Coverage: 54 active published awards; 52 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames on behalf of the South London Waste Partnership (SLWP) members (London Boroughs of Merton, Croydon, Sutton and The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames), has appointed a contractor to support the delivery of treatment and recycling of the material after it has been collected and received. The treatment and or disposal of the mechanical street cleansing waste referred to in this procurement is currently treated through the South London Waste Partnership (SLWP) Residual Waste Treatment Contract (also referred to as Phase B). The residual waste treatment contract has a primary function to deal with the SLWP kerbside collected municipal residual waste, but it also includes subcontract arrangements for the treatment and or recycling of ‘other’ ad hoc wastes such as mechanical cleansing waste, plasterboard recycling, tyres etc. The waste produced by the mechanical street cleansing vehicles is currently handled in two ways; vehicles in the Boroughs direct deliver to current contractor site, where it is bulked for onward transfer to a recycling facility; the Royal borough of Kingston (RBK) currently deliver street cleansing waste into the waste transfer station (WTS) and from there it is mixed with the kerbside residual waste for treatment.
