What is being bought
Dudley MBC Integrated Commissioning, Performance and Partnerships Departmentwould like to inform potential bidders of a market engagement event to be held on Thursday 4 March 2021 at 10.30am p.m. till 1.00pm via Microsoft Teams for the proposed procurement of the Extra Care Plus model. Please note the deadline for the market engagement response is 1st March 2021.Providers that have an interest in delivering Extra Care Plus, Residential Care, Supported Living, Nursing Care and are a Housing Provider Associations may have an interest however all potential bidders are welcomed to the market engagement event.

    The key objectives of the proposed procurement are to commission innovative services that serves the persons needs within an environment that promotes, develops and maintains independent living as much as possible and if possible and offers people real rights as tenants. Dudley MBC will work with a property developer to design and build the establishment and ideally identify a Care and Support Provider and a Housing Provider so this design and build can be done in a collaborative way. The procurement for this service should commence over the coming months. While this market engagement event will inform the commissioning of the services outlined above, the commissioners would also like to use this opportunity to gather the views of providers who may be interested in other future opportunities such as phase 2 of the project that is looking at developing Extra Care Plus with nursing care provision. The Commissioners are seeking to engage with the market to gather the views of potential providers on various aspects of how the services should best be configured and organised.
