Coverage: 90 active published awards; 77 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Marine laboratory and post-doctoral research services are required in Wales to design, manage and conduct survey projects in Welsh waters, carry out associated laboratory work, and facilitate access to academic projects, datasets, scientific literature, data analysis and modelling capabilities, useful for processing survey data and GIS products.
The sea-going fisheries surveys includes designing, managing and leading sea surveys of fish stocks in Welsh Waters (namely scallop, crab, lobster, skate and ray) with associated laboratory work and data analysis, as well as writing up the survey reports and conducting literature reviews to form the basis for high priority policy advice to deliver ministerial priorities.
The role will also be expected to design and manage contractors at sea for Strategic Resource Area surveys to support the development of marine renewable energy spatial plans, as well as the identification of Marine Conservation Zones, key in completing the UKs Marine Protected Area network.
