East Lothian Council is looking to appoint a provider for Legionella and Water Quality.
The Term Maintenance Contract will be to undertake Legionella & Water Quality Management & Associated Works primarily to Public Buildings (although there is a limited amount of Estates, HMO Building’s etc) which include the following:
- Risk Assessments (including Reassessments).
- Monitoring Tasks.
- Inspections.
- Cleaning & Disinfection Tasks.
- Analytical Testing.
- Water Cooler Servicing.
- Reactive Maintenance.
- Remedial Works (where necessary). Additional information: Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. This includes an employer’s obligations under National Minimum Wage Act 1998 and the Equality Act 2010.

An organisation must be a member of a professionally accredited Body Legionella Control Association or other equivalent body.
An organisation must be a member of SNIPEF or Waster Safe Approved Body or equivalent.
- Price carries 70 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 7 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
