Published requirement descriptionThe Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey (“the PCC for Surrey”) has appointed a suitable Successful Tenderer for the Provision of Legal Services via the Light Touch Regime under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The PCC for Surrey is acting as lead force for a Contract Agreement for Surrey Police, Sussex Police, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex (“the Participating Organisations” and “Participating Organisation” shall mean any one of them as applicable).
The Contract Term shall be for 5 years with the option to extend the Contract by 2 additional 12 month increments, making the maximum possible Contract Term 7 years. The option to extend the Contract shall be at the sole discretion of the PCC for Surrey.
The commencement date for this contract will be 01/04/24.

The PCC for Surrey and/or any Participating Organisation will require the Successful Tenderer and any Approved Appointed Specialists employed to provide the Service to be vetted to NPPV3.
- Price carries 30 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 3 points. The method statement decides this lot, not the discount.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

Publisher note: This is a contract for the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex. The total value of the contract has been estimated using historic spend and rates provided by Weightmans LLP as part of their tender as well an additional contingency on top with expected increase in service use. The value can be broken down as follows: The Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey: £14,594,522.78 The Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex: £14,369,440.93 These values are for the maximum term of contract: 5 year initial period with an additional 2 x 12 month extensions.
