Procedure rationaleNHS South West London CCG has a responsibility to ensure local GPs within the Kingston borough have continuity of IT technical support to enable front-line delivery of primary care clinical services to local patients. The CCG has assessed a need to allow some additional time, following recent and ongoing COVID pandemic response, to agree with local GPs the future substantive service delivery solution. As such, an interim 6 month contract is being awarded to the incumbent provider, recognising the risks that would be associated with making a change to the current relationships and support arrangements at this time, and assessing the current supplier as having the required local knowledge, infrastructure and working relationships to support the local GPs. The CCG plans to decide upon its future requirements during this interim contract period, to then inform an appropriate process to establish a future substantive contractual solution. |
