Coverage: 1 active published awards; 0 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale

No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleA full OJEU tender placed via in 2020 for up to 5 years resulted in a single, subsequently awarded bid on behalf of the LUPC Insurance Group (IG). Immediately prior to the 1 August 2021 renewal, the provider notified that terms would not be re-offered to several IG members. All known and capable professional indemnity insurers in the market were approached by the IG's appointed broker Gallagher, through whom it was confirmed in writing that they would again not be responding to a formal tender process. Gallagher therefore sought and acquired a Line Slip multi-insurer solution through their Specialty and Wholesale Division team in the knowledge that no acceptable bids would be received via a tender process. |
