What is being bought
Caerphilly County Borough Council (CCBC) invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and support of structured cabling infrastructure across its corporate estate, schools, educational establishments, operational facilities, and other associated premises throughout the County Borough.
The Council relies upon robust, secure, and high-performing network infrastructure to support the delivery of critical public services, digital transformation initiatives, cloud-based applications, telephony systems, building management technologies, and educational technology platforms.
As such, the Council requires a contractor capable of delivering both planned and reactive structured cabling services to ensure the continued availability, resilience, and future scalability of its communications infrastructure.
The contract will support a diverse property portfolio of more than 300 buildings comprising of 86 schools, offices, depots, civic buildings, leisure facilities, and operational sites, with more than 400 Network Cabinets across these sites, requiring contractors to demonstrate the capability to operate effectively across multiple locations and environments. Emphasis will be placed on minimising disruption to educational activities, public-facing services, and critical Council operations.
