Lot #1The procurement is for the implementation of a single Trust-wide medical e-rostering…Awarded

The procurement is for the implementation of a single Trust-wide medical e-rostering solution to replace the Trust's current fragmented and predominantly manual medical rostering arrangements. Existing processes do not meet operational requirements or NHS England standards, resulting in rota inaccuracies, clinic cancellations, increased temporary staffing costs, and significant administrative effort.

The proposed solution will provide a unified platform for managing medical workforce rostering across the Trust, delivering functionality including automated payroll reconciliation, roster generation, safe-working compliance monitoring, sickness management, contracted hours recording, and integration with job planning and temporary staffing systems. The system will improve workforce visibility, strengthen governance, support safe staffing, and ensure compliance with national e-rostering standards.

For consultants and resident doctors, the solution will enhance roster accuracy, improve leave management, support flexible working arrangements, facilitate publication of rotas at least six weeks in advance, and reduce scheduling conflicts through integration with job planning processes.

Following the expiry of the Trust's Agenda for Change e-Rostering contract on 31 August 2026, the Trust identified an opportunity to implement a single workforce rostering platform encompassing both Agenda for Change and Medical staff groups. This approach delivers a modest cost saving compared with current combined rostering expenditure while maximising operational efficiencies, enhancing system integration, and improving workforce management through the adoption of a unified rostering solution across the entire Trust workforce.
