Coverage: 34 active published awards; 8 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
It is nationally recognised that service users with serious mental illness or learning disability are more likely to have co-morbid physical health issues and shorter life expectancy. Residing in inpatient services for long periods of time can also result in service users being more likely to develop long term physical health conditions.
A number of service users within each of the units covered by the service level agreement will have been admitted from outside of the Cheshire footprint and therefore will not be registered with a local GP, or eligible for such registration. This service provision allows access to ongoing physical health monitoring/ screening.
Better Health Manchester are able to offer a service which aligns with the needs of the three wards, and matches the service provided by the previous provider. They currently work with other NHS Mental Health Trusts and have extensive experience of working with these patient cohorts.
Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 11th August 2026 to cwp.contracts@nhs.net. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as a Prior Information Notice following the most suitable provider process under PSR.
