What is being bought
The University of Birmingham has a requirement for a Framework for the Provision of the supply and install of High Voltage 11KV Switch Gear in various Substations on campus. The University intends to appoint a single Framework operator to deliver this requirement.At the discretion of the University of Birmingham there may be a requirement to replace main and sub distribution LV panels, circuit protective devices and reconnect the existing circuits back into the new switchgear. Testing of the circuits and protection works, shall form part of this framework. Any civils work or cable replacement required for the new switch gear shall also form part of this works. The successful contractor/ supplier shall be responsible for removal of the old switch gear, the installation and commissioning of the new switchgear in its entirety. The selection of the switchgear shall comply with the University of Birmingham Estates electrical specification, and or the requirements of Estates Infrastructure
