- Suitability
he Specification for Highway Works (SHW) applies to all Work packages issued through this Framework Agreement. Not all of the National Highway Sector Schemes (NHSS) from Appendix A of the SHW will be mandatory. Appendix 0/2 of Volume 2 of the Framework Agreement stipulates the NHSS schemes that are mandatory and those that are not. Those listed as mandatory will apply to all businesses undertaking any of these Works/ Services unless the business complies with any alternative requirement that may be stipulated in the comments column of Appendix A of SHW. If your business subcontracts the work, you do not have to be registered but any subcontractor you use must be.
- Staff
- Names and qualifications of delivery staff must be submitted
- Price carries 80 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 8 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
- “Framework Agreement C1 Road Maintenance and Minor Civil Engineering…” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, up to 12 suppliers, not a single contract.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
