What is being bought

The Service has a potential upcoming below threshold works opportunity for drill tower design and installation to accommodate both Service Delivery and Academy training requirements. A total of between four (4) and six (6) drill towers are likely to be required, and these are intended to be located at: Axminster, Lynton, Minehead, Dulverton, Ivybridge and Witheridge fire stations. The drill training towers must be a robust galvanised steel structure, with a minimum of three storeys, ladder access between the platforms, and incorporating access hatches. The scope of work would include; • demolition of the existing drill tower • design, supply and install of necessary foundations • design, supply and install of new tower • Lighting provision on tower The intention is for these structures to be in place by the financial year end, 31 March 2026. This engagement is issued to identify potential design and install suppliers within the marketplace who are capable of delivering these full requirements within the potential timescales, with previous fire service sector experience.

Comparable-procurement analytics

Benchmarked against retained Find a Tender procedures with CPV division 44. The category anchor is Structural products (44200000); this is a deliberately broad market comparator. The comparison is shown at several levels rather than pretending one company or region is always the best benchmark.

“Reported bids” is an official aggregate, sometimes reported per lot; it is the closest available competition measure. “Named award suppliers” are winners, not all applicants.

Price-outcome signal

Not enough comparable procedures currently publish both a GBP tender value and a usable lowest-valid-bid value to calculate a responsible price-reduction benchmark. Tenderline deliberately does not infer a saving from named award suppliers or from missing award values.
