Coverage: 298 active published awards; 275 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is currently reviewing how it procures Life Support Services for Diplomatic missions operating in Conflict and Fragile states.
The British Embassy as part of the FCDO represents the British Government’s interests overseas and acts as a support platform for other Government Departments. Contractual life support services for British Overseas Offices are required for staff and foreign government personnel that utilise our premises, in order to allow the FCDO to fulfil its duty of care.
The FCDO overseas estates consist of a Compound(s) comprising an amenities building that houses the office, canteen (and associated kitchen) and gym.
Some FCDO estates have Residential accommodation villas on site, where Life Support staff can reside, however this is not available at all sites.
FCDO Commercial is seeking feedback from the market and wish to understand capacity and ability to deliver Life Support Services in Conflict and Fragile states.
The contracting authority will consider the feedback received to help inform its future procurement approaches and further decision making. For the avoidance of doubt, this phase of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and the contracting authority is not committing, at this stage, to carrying out such a process. The FCDO reserves the right to change the process at any stage and to undertake this procurement using alternative routes. Please note that the value range stated is an estimate at this stage and will be finalised following further analysis and confirmed within a Contract Notice.
Participation or non-participation in this market engagement exercise shall not prevent any supplier participating in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of this exercise shall place any supplier at an advantage in a potential procurement process. No formal assessment of capability or down selection of bidders will be carried out in relation to any responses received as a result of this.
