What is being bought
Wealden District Council are working with Mayfield and Five Ashes Parish Council to create a replacement community centre which will incorporate a medical/health centre. The Council's are looking to appoint a contractor to progress the design of the buildings and to build out the development.The proposed site is at the north-west part of Mayfield village and is in the same location as the community’s existing memorial hall at Court Meadow, Tunbridge Wells Road, Mayfield, East Sussex, TN20 6PJ. The intention is to provide a building of 1,050m² of which the health centre is 350 m² leaving 700m² for a community centre, parking also needs to be provided for users of both buildings.

    Design and construction of a Community and a Health centre, complete with site works, drainage and external services The Parish of Mayfield and Five Ashes currently has several pressing needs, namely:A new social / community hub for the Parish;A replacement for the existing Memorial Hall;A new Health / Medical Centre andIncreased parking provision.The project plans to address these needs by creating a new social focus for the Parish containing facilities directed towards the recreation, health and wellbeing of the whole community. It shall be accessible to all residents, visitors and members of the 60 clubs and societies active in the Parish.The project also contains the new Parish Health Centre which is designed to be separate to the social elements of the building. The Parish Council which owns the land at Court Meadow, is partnering with Wealden District Council (WDC) on this project.
