Published requirement descriptionThe required works are to renew the current Docklands Light Railway System Management Centre (SMC) and subsystems located in Beckton and Poplar control centres.
The works include, but may not be limited to, replacement of SMC Servers, SMC Workstations, SMC Remote Workstations, Networking Hardware, Software, Cabling, Operational Training Workstations, spares provisions, updated installation, maintenance & operating procedures and operational & maintenance system training.

Hitachi is the only supplier that can provide the required works for renewal of the System Management Centre (SMC) as they have exclusive ownership of the intellectual property rights (IPR) associated with the design, software and hardware of the Automatic Train Control (ATC) signalling system currently deployed at Docklands Light Railway.
