Published requirement description

This relates to the 6 month extension of a Framework Agreement for the provision of Design and Engineering Services covering Civil Design & Engineering and Mechanical / Pipeline design and Engineering. These design & Engineering works cover the design and engineering element of NGN's large project portfolio. This extension is being put in place to provide the necessary support to NGN while it concludes an ongoing procurement to enable the establishment of a new Framework for the supply of these services to commence October 2023

Why no open competition: New works/services, constituting a repetition of existing works/services and ordered in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the directive
Published justification: NGNs procurement strategy for the provision of engineering design services for its capital delivery program was to incorporate such services within the work delivery frameworks. As such the existing framework for the provision of these engineering services was allowed to lapse. As such NGN have taken the decision to extend the existing framework until the end of September 2023. The procurement process for a new framework is underway. Following an Expression of Interest process (EOI) conducted via Achilles UVDB a pre-qualification process has been completed with all participants having been notified of status. The next stage of this procurement process will be to issue a formal invitation to tender to the pre-qualified participants.
