This contract has been awarded under the urgent circumstances provision of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.

Regulation 14 has been applied because delaying the award of the contract would be likely to pose a risk to patient or public safety.

This notice is to confirm that an urgent award of contract was made to the urgency of the service provision as notice was received from University Hospitals Northamptonshire (UHN) to advise that they intended to cease providing the service. NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB) undertook a procurement process and awarded a contract to LLR Patient Care Locally (CIC) and NHS Northamptonshire ICB is an associate to the contract. LLR ICB are publishing a modification notice to confirm Northamptonshire ICB as associate to the contract.

Contract length is 9.5 months.
