The works follow a successful trial exercise intended to assess the buildability of the works proposed and the likely impact on ongoing hospital operations, the details of which are included in the tender pack.<br/><br/>The works include removal of the existing lightweight render system and combustible polystyrene insulation, remediation where required to faulty/inadequate sheathing board/cement particle board (CPB), fire stops, vapour control layer (VCL) and exposed SFS, overlaying of faceted CPB (to curved blue painted walls forming ensuite ‘pods’) with new non-combustible sheathing boards installed to a curve, reinstatement of fire barriers as necessary and provision of a new non-combustible mineral fibre insulated render system with silicon resin render finish, all to be of no lesser standard than the trial provisions detailed in the tender pack.",
