Publisher note: This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C. No conflicts of interest were identified. Decision maker: Director of Commissioning and Neighbourhoods, NHS Surrey & Sussex. Evaluation Key Criteria The service evaluation was reviewed against the 5 key criteria. The key criteria were weighted as follows: • Quality and innovation 30% • Value 30% • Integration, Collaboration and Service Sustainability 10% • Improving Access, Reducing Health Inequalities and Facilitating Choice 20% • Social Value 10% The decision to award the contract to Alliance for Better Care was made through review of the above structured evaluation of key criteria and selection standards, which demonstrated that the Provider continues to provide a high quality service. The assessment of the current service is as follows: Quality and innovation: Maintaining quality and supporting innovation are central to delivering safe healthcare in unconventional settings such as contingency hotels. Value: Value is a priority because the service should demonstrate cost effectiveness through avoidance of inappropriate primary care, urgent care, ambulance and secondary care use. Integration, collaboration and service sustainability: The service must remain adaptable to changing circumstances, including changing demographics and arrival patterns associated with conflict, climate and migration. Improving access, reducing health inequalities, and facilitating choice: The service directly reduces health inequalities for a highly vulnerable cohort by improving access, supporting navigation of the NHS and explaining available healthcare choices. Social Value: The service provides healthcare access to people who may have had limited or no access in their country of origin or while travelling to the UK.
