Coverage: 64 active published awards; 2 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
To ensure continuity of support for both artistic measure and resources they hold. This type of specialised work i.e. community workshops with new and existing groups is best suited for a South Tyneside based company and CS have the contacts and can also draw on additional funding. They are the only organisation with these skills and we have been working with them for over 5 years. They have a proven track record for delivering the requirements from the Arts Council and have access to Community Champions which satisfies an element of the grant application and are also well know for the high quality of work with Arts Council England and this strengthens our bid
The parade comprises of up to 2000 people drawn from local community groups and organisations along with "professional" content which has previously included bands/ musicians, carnival groups, stilt walkers and other performing arts practitioners. In addition, there are 2 dressed floats. Our aim is to deliver a parade which has a strong focus on community participation and cocreation that is visually spectacular and energies the town centre/ seafront route.
Subject to a successful funding application we are looking to commission an arts organisation to:
• Deliver a co-ordinated parade which will include (but not be limited to) walking entries, stilt walkers, structures, floats, bands, percussion groups and musicians.
• Engage with local community groups/ schools across South Tyneside through workshops and creative sessions (i.e. costume design) to co-create the theme of the parade which will be. "A Legacy of Industry, A Future of Sustainability OR Powering Progress: Past, Present & Future"
• Ensure energy and exceptional visual quality.
