Comparable-procurement analytics

Benchmarked against retained Find a Tender procedures with CPV division 33. The category anchor is Hospital beds (33192120); this is a deliberately broad market comparator. The comparison is shown at several levels rather than pretending one company or region is always the best benchmark.

“Reported bids” is an official aggregate, sometimes reported per lot; it is the closest available competition measure. “Named award suppliers” are winners, not all applicants.

Price-outcome signal

Not enough comparable procedures currently publish both a GBP tender value and a usable lowest-valid-bid value to calculate a responsible price-reduction benchmark. Tenderline deliberately does not infer a saving from named award suppliers or from missing award values.

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is undertaking preliminary market engagement to inform a forthcoming procurement for a comprehensive Bed Management Service across its acute and community sites. The anticipated contract will cover the supply, management, maintenance and decontamination of hospital beds, mattresses and associated equipment. The service is expected to include full fleet management, planned preventative maintenance, decontamination and laundry services, technician support for equipment movements and fault resolution, asset tracking and reporting, provision of spare parts and consumables, and access to clinical advisory support. The existing service manages a fleet of approximately 2,046 items, including beds, mattresses and related equipment, with activity spanning acute and community locations across Cumbria. This engagement seeks to gather market intelligence on supplier capability, capacity and delivery models; approaches to servicing multi-site estates; asset management and reporting systems; decontamination and logistics solutions; and commercial models including pricing structures, contract duration and risk allocation. Suppliers are also invited to provide feedback on procurement routes, including the potential use of frameworks or standalone procurement, and to highlight any innovative approaches that could support service quality, efficiency and sustainability. The information gathered through this exercise will be used to shape the Trust’s procurement strategy and ensure the future contract delivers best value for money while meeting clinical and operational requirements. Participation in this engagement will not confer any advantage in any subsequent procurement process. "description": "North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is undertaking preliminary market engagement to inform a forthcoming procurement for a comprehensive Bed Management Service across its acute and community sites.\nThe anticipated contract will cover the supply, management, maintenance and decontamination of hospital beds, mattresses and associated equipment. The service is expected to include full fleet management, planned preventative maintenance, decontamination and laundry services, technician support for equipment movements and fault resolution, asset tracking and reporting, provision of spare parts and consumables, and access to clinical advisory support. \nThe existing service manages a fleet of approximately 2,046 items, including beds, mattresses and related equipment, with activity spanning acute and community locations across Cumbria.\nThis engagement seeks to gather market intelligence on supplier capability, capacity and delivery models; approaches to servicing multi-site estates; asset management and reporting systems; decontamination and logistics solutions; and commercial models including pricing structures, contract duration and risk allocation. Suppliers are also invited to provide feedback on procurement routes, including the potential use of frameworks or standalone procurement, and to highlight any innovative approaches that could support service quality, efficiency and sustainability. \nThe information gathered through this exercise will be used to shape the Trust’s procurement strategy and ensure the future contract delivers best value for money while meeting clinical and operational requirements. Participation in this engagement will not confer any advantage in any subsequent procurement process."
