    "description": "North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to procure a comprehensive Bed Management Service covering the supply, management, maintenance and decontamination of hospital beds, mattresses and associated equipment across its acute and community sites.\nThe contract will comprise a fully managed service for a mixed-manufacturer equipment fleet of approximately 2,000 items, including beds, mattresses, trolleys, couches, chairs and cots. \nThe scope of the service is expected to include, but is not limited to:\nFull fleet management and asset tracking of all in-scope equipment\nPlanned preventative maintenance (PPM) and statutory compliance activity\nDecontamination and laundry services for mattresses and associated components\nProvision of on-site technician support for equipment delivery, installation, removal, movement, and fault resolution\nManagement and supply of spare parts and consumables, including hospital acquired damage (HAD) processes\nProvision of specialist rental equipment, including bariatric and pressure care products\nClinical advisory support to Trust staff in relation to bed management and patient care\n24/7 customer support and service coordination\nProvision of management information, reporting and performance monitoring in line with agreed key performance indicators\nThe service will be delivered across multiple acute and community locations, requiring a flexible and responsive operating model capable of supporting a high-volume, multi-site NHS environment.\nThe procurement will seek to appoint a single supplier responsible for the delivery of all elements of the service, with overall accountability for performance, subcontractor management (where applicable), and continuous service improvement.",

Suppliers are also invited to provide feedback on procurement routes, including the potential use of frameworks or standalone procurement, and to highlight any innovative approaches that could support service quality, efficiency and sustainability. \nThe information gathered through this exercise will be used to shape the Trust’s procurement strategy and ensure the future contract delivers best value for money while meeting clinical and operational requirements.
