Coverage: 0 active published awards; 0 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The current compressors and associated equipment within Harwich buoy yard are now approximately 17 years old and are no longer supportable from the original equipment manufacturers. This increases risk and costs to the business and therefore it is recommended that some or all of the equipment be replaced. The compressors and equipment are necessary to generate quality pressurised air for all core activities including paint spraying, shot blasting, and without a reliable source of compressed air these activities will not function and therefore buoy refurbishment cannot be undertaken. The current system comprises of one variable speed drive (VSD) compressor and one fixed speed, the VSD is used to top up system pressure and volume when necessary. As there is a high probability through the introduction of new equipment, the demand upon the compressors will change from the original value, it would be beneficial as part of this project to establish a new baseline and therefore size the new equipment accordingly.
