What is being bought
Peel Ports Investments Limited (the name under which any resulting contract from this potentially forthcoming procurement event may be signed) acting on behalf of The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company, Port of Sheerness Limited, Heysham Port Limited, and Clydeport Operations Limited, wishes to undertake market engagement in preparation for a future procurement for the service provision of Aid to Navigation (AtoN) across the above mentioned ports. Peel Ports owns and operates six of the UK’s most important ports (Port of Liverpool, Heysham Port, Manchester Ship Canal, Medway (Sheerness / Chatham), Clyde port (Greenock, Hunterston, Ardrossan) and Great Yarmouth). It also operates a container terminal in Dublin. A summary of the requirements are detailed below: Scope of Planned Procurement 1. Services Required: The scope of the future procurement will include the provision of comprehensive Aid to Navigation (AtoN) services, including but not limited to: • Maintenance and repair of navigational aids (buoys, lights, beacons, etc.) • Survey and monitoring of AtoN systems • Installation and commissioning of new AtoN equipment • Emergency response and support • Provision of related vessels and equipment 2.
