708941451 - Procurement and In-Service Support of Explosive Particle Detection Equipment

The Specialist Explosive Ordinance Demolition, Exploitation & Countermeasures (SEEC) Delivery Team (DT) have launched a project to procure and support explosive particle detection equipment. The user requires a deployable and robust explosive particle detector capability to conduct search of buildings and other infrastructure to give immediate indication of the presence or lack of explosive Particles for common and bespoke explosive threat substances, or components thereof, permitting subsequent activity. The authority will be purchasing detectors to equip at least 2 search teams with 20 detectors. The intention is to award a 5-year contract plus 2 option years to one supplier to deliver this requirement. The estimated value of this requirement is ~£3.5m. In issuing this PIN, The Authority is not committing to commence with any procurement in relation to the requirements stated in this PIN. Additional information: Early Market Engagement The Authority is interested in understanding the capabilities in the market to help inform the development of the requirement. Early Market Engagement will be conducted in two parts: Supplier Briefs Please provide a brief of up to 750 words detailing your capability and potential solutions to the requirement along with a price list and any potential risk/ issues that the Authority should consider.
