Published requirement description23/SJM/089 Power Electronics Training EquipmentPower Electronics equipment is required for training students in the areas of Power Engineering and Power Electronics and DrivesThe equipment required will be part of our new Renewable Energy and Power Laboratory. The equipment to be used to train groups of 4-6 students on each hardware module. Each hardware module will be used as an individual teaching station covering a specified set of experiments, and therefore we require each of them to stand alone or be constructed as a bench top unit.The required equipment consists of two Lots: Lot 1 - Power EngineeringLot 2- Power Electronics and DrivesSuppliers may apply for one or both lots and these will be awarded seperately. The Power Engineering requirement consists of one set of training modules to enable several laboratory-based experiments in this area, including a range of operations related to power lines, busbars, transformers, conventional generators, and renewable generation. Optionally, we may purchase additional individual hardware modules, or a second set, but this is subject to budgetary constraints.
