Published requirement descriptionWalsall is a Borough Council with around 287,000 residents and one main acute hospital, Walsall Manor. However, there are regular admissions into ‘out of Borough’ hospitals e.g. New Cross and Good Hope. The Council requires 2 care homes to provide approximately 18 beds per week (9 per care home) for the Pathway 2 bed based rehabilitation within the Intermediate Care Service. The objective of this service provision is to maximise people’s independence through the effective use of rehabilitation.

- Review procedure
The Council will incorporate a standstill period at the point when information on the proposed award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of ten calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. Aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by any breach of the Council’s obligations may take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
