Coverage: 81 active published awards; 80 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The University of Aberdeen has an institutional requirement to appoint suitable Contractors to provide internal and external Window Cleaning and Related Services which utilise industry best practice, and are able to complement the University’s resources and support activities across the University Estate. The University campuses are primarily located in urban areas and as such buildings are subjected to atmospheric soiling and air pollution. In addition, due to the close proximity to the sea and a significant bird population in the local area, the University requires both scheduled internal and external window and building entrance cleaning services as well as an emergency call-off service for certain high priority areas. In total the University requires window cleaning services for its halls of residence, ca 50 academic/academic-related buildings, and ca 80 entrances, all which are located in and around the City of Aberdeen, with a couple of properties located in Inverurie and at Newburgh.

The agreement will operate as a ranked framework. The contractor ranked 1st should receive the purchase order without the need for mini competition if they meet the criteria of labour availability, response, technical ability and time constraints. Should the contractor be unable to meet any or all of these criteria required at the time then the demand can be placed with the second contractor.
