What is being bought
The Authority is seeking interest from suitably experienced and competent providers of integrated neighbourhood and wellbeing services, including:
• Neighbourhood and Community Hub facilities management
• Leisure and sports facilities and services
• Public and prison library facilities and services, including the delivery of wider community services such as Post Office provision.
• A full range of healthy lifestyle programmes, including weight management; smoking and vaping prevention training, physical activity and active outdoors programmes, exercise on prescription programmes, falls prevention and reconditioning service, dementia happy and healthy classes, and GP referral schemes.
• Community sports and school PE activities and outreach provision.
The Provider will be required to work within a period of ongoing uncertainty in terms of post-Covid sector recovery and ongoing impact from cost inflation and cost of living crisis, with the expectation of re-building footfall numbers and income from commercial elements of the service, whilst retaining the core principles of inclusivity and public health outcome ambitions.
The Authority is committed to retaining the range of integrated services set out and is seeking an ambitious approach to continuous improvement.
