Coverage: 2 active published awards; 2 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale
Planning budgetNot published |
No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleOn the grounds of disproportionate technical complexity should another supplier be selected. In summary, our overall customer on this project, is procuring identical design of couplers from CPI already, and in doing so has already made or funded suitable qualification tests and tooling. Should another supplier be selected by STFC, it is estimated that much of this development and qualification work would have to be repeated by STFC, equivalent to +10% of the estimated contract value and at an extra 12+ months (extra 100%) on the delivery schedule for first batches of parts. |
