Coverage: 253 active published awards; 251 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
UK Research and Innovation, through its component research council the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) requires a framework agreement for the kitting and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs), procurement of bare boards and components, assembly and testing of the fully assembled PCBs built to STFC design. The number of new designs on average is about 25 to 35 per annum, with each design requiring from 2 off prototypes to 100 plus production modules. The size of modules could vary from small custom size to approximately 400 mm x 400 mm with typical technical specifications as indicated in the ‘Technical Specification’ appendix within the Delta eSourcing Portal.
