Cardiff University Estates & Campus Facilities Division have identified the need to replace the gas fired boiler plant and associated primary LTHW system, gas distribution system, flues, components, pumps and controls.
The issues are predominately related to obsolescence, poor condition of plant and equipment necessitating its urgent life cycle replacement.
Cardiff University Estates Department wish to engage specialist professional services for the mechanical and electrical design, specification and project management of the installation works to provide the total redesign and replacement of the existing centralised heating system for Cardiff University’s Main Building.

Cardiff University will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of
the contract is communicated to bidders.
That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period,
which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful bidders to
clarify or query the award decision before the contract is entered into. The UK Public
Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or at risk of
harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern
Ireland).
