London North Eastern Railway Limited requires the continued supply of Marked Gas Oil to Clayhills Depot, Aberdeen, to support operational activities. The existing fuel supply contract will expire before the replacement competitive procurement can be completed, approved and mobilised. A replacement procurement is currently underway. result in significant operational disruption, additional mobilisation costs and duplication of effort before the replacement contract is awarded and implemented. LNER therefore intends to extend the existing contract with Johnston Oils Ltd for the minimum period necessary to complete and mobilise the replacement procurement. The modification is being undertaken in accordance with Regulation 88(1)(c) of the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016. The scope of supply remains substantially unchanged and the estimated value of the extension is approximately £2.8 million excluding VAT.

Publisher note: This notice relates to the proposed extension of an existing fuel supply contract for the provision of Marked Gas Oil to Clayhills Depot, Aberdeen. The proposed modification comprises a temporary extension of the existing contract for a period of up to five months. The extension is required to ensure continuity of fuel supply whilst the replacement competitive procurement is completed and mobilised. The replacement procurement is currently underway and the extension is limited to the minimum period necessary to avoid interruption to operationally critical fuel supplies. The proposed modification is being undertaken in accordance with Regulation 88(1)(c) of the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016. Existing fuel specifications, delivery obligations and core contractual requirements remain substantially unchanged. The estimated value of the extension is approximately £2.8 million excluding VAT.
