Coverage: 1 active published awards; 1 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
A suite of tools to enable the manufacture of a complete set of wing covers Port, Starboard, Upper & Lower. The wing covers will be manufactured from Aerospace pre-preg composite materials which will be cured in the National Composites Centre large autoclave. Each of the cover assemblies will consist of a cover panel as well as integral stringers. The tools in scope for this project will include all mold tools as well as all lifting and handling provision to enable the manufacture of all constituent parts and the integration of these parts into their respective assemblies. The rough sizing for each of the individual wing covers will be approximately 6m span, 1.4m chord with a typical aero surface. The program for works is estimated to be in the order of 7 months, with initial geometry data drop in November 2021 and final geometry January 2022 with tools required on dock at the NCC at the end of May 2022.
