This scheme will complement other behaviour change programmes and initiatives being developed and delivered by TfGM as part of our Active Travel Mission, aimed at encouraging and enabling more walking, wheeling and cycling trips. TfGM are seeking a supplier to manage all aspects of the delivery of the public loan scheme, including supporting engagement events as required. The objectives of this project are to: • Raise awareness of e-cycles and their benefits • Increase the number of trips undertaken by e-cycle • Increase e-cycle ownership • Enable active travel by providing more e-cycling opportunities • Build on lessons learned and partnerships/expertise developed from the Department for Transport-funded national e-cycle programme (“Making Cycling E-asier”) • Ensure robust monitoring and evaluation to gather evidence to inform future e-cycle support activities.
