The service will consist of dispensing medicines for TB against outpatient prescriptions.<br/>The operational times for the TB Service is between Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, there is an expectation that the Pharmacy will operate up to 6.00pm. <br/>The year 1 2025/26 estimated annual volume of prescriptions to be dispensed and drug expenditure is 135,000 items (£14 million drug expenditure)<br/>The Service is required to be within walking distance of the Cobridge Community Health Centre, i.e. within 0.5 miles, as in practical terms the Trust’s staff must have the ability to walk between the Health Centre and Pharmacy many times a day to meet spontaneous and unexpected drug dispensing need. It is not practical or sustainable to require Staff to use cars for pharmacy trips. This is the same principle as Hospital based Pharmacy services which have a requirement to have services within walking distances.
