Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The purpose of this PIN is to advise of the Market Engagement Presentation and it is not being used as a call for competition. This PIN is intended to:
1. Inform the market of the upcoming procurement process for the Generation 2, Wave 1 T Levels, being commissioned by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) (and therefore enable the market / potential suppliers to begin to plan for this); this PIN is an update to the information previously circulated in October 2022
and
2. Advise as to the online market engagement update which will be available through the Procontract eprocurement portal, which is formed of a virtual presentation by IfATE and other documents about the forthcoming Generation 2, Wave 1 T Level procurement.
There will also be one to one sessions offered where suppliers can meet with the procurement team.
Subject to demand, IfATE may also offer a workshop on how to bid for public contracts and/or a workshop specifically focussed on consortia bidding.
Further details about the market engagement presentation, how to book one to one slots and attend the workshops can be found in the Information Memorandum accessible at https://procontract.due-north.com/Register

- Lot 1 · #1Education and Early YearsplannedPublished valueNot publishedIfATE will be the contracting authority, subject to commencement of the relevant provisions of the Technical and Further Education Act 2017. References to IfATE should be read with this in mind. T Levels are a programme of Technical Education that have introduced a high quality technical option alongside an academic option for students aged 16 to 19. The initial Wave 1 and Wave 2 contracts that saw T Levels launched in 2020 and 2021 are now reaching their end and IfATE are now reprocuring for the next generation contracts. The purpose of the proposed procurement will be to select and appoint an Awarding Organisation (AO) to be responsible for developing and delivering the Generation 2, Wave 1 T Level qualification, under an exclusive licensing approach. The expected scope of the role of the AO is that it would be responsible for: - reviewing and updating existing content of the qualification, both initially and during the life of the contract; - creating an assessment strategy that aligns with existing practice; - upskilling providers (further education schools and colleges); - provision of learning and teaching materials; - delivering qualification assessment services. The pathway in scope for Lot 1 of the Generation 2, Wave 1 Procurement is Education and Early Years. The existing Technical Qualification Specification can be found at: https://www.ncfe.org.uk/qualification-search/qualification-detail/t-level-technical-qualification-in-education-and-childcare-level-3-delivered-by--377 Further information on the proposed procurement is provided in the Information Memorandum accessible at https://procontract.due-north.com/Register. It is envisaged that any resulting contract would be a public services concession contract and that accordingly the procurement will be governed by the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016, to the extent that the same apply to those services to which such contract would relate. Additional information: It is a mandatory requirement that the potential supplier who is selected to provide the services under this procurement must be recognised by Ofqual to deliver the relevant Technical Qualification at the point of contract award.
